The short version
PomodoroBar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app runs entirely on your Mac. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no tracking. Your data never leaves your device.
1. About PomodoroBar
PomodoroBar is a native macOS application that provides a Pomodoro timer in your menu bar. It is developed by Keiler Guardo ("we", "us", "our") and distributed as a one-time purchase.
2. Data we do NOT collect
PomodoroBar is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app does not:
- Collect personal information (name, email, location, IP address)
- Track your usage, behavior, or habits
- Include analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting SDKs
- Use cookies or web tracking technologies
- Communicate with any external servers
- Require an account or login
- Sync data to the cloud
3. Data stored locally
PomodoroBar stores the following data locally on your Mac to provide its core functionality:
- Timer settings — Your preferred focus, short break, and long break durations
- Session history — A log of completed Pomodoro sessions (dates, durations)
- App preferences — Notification settings, sound preferences, and other configuration
This data is stored using macOS standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults / Application Support directory). It is never transmitted anywhere. You can delete it at any time by removing the app.
4. This website
The PomodoroBar website (pomodorobar.com) is a static site. It does not use cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
If you subscribe to our early access list, we collect your email address only, for the sole purpose of notifying you when PomodoroBar launches. We use Resend to send emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party.
5. Third-party services
The PomodoroBar app uses zero third-party services. It makes no network requests.
The website uses:
- Resend — For sending transactional emails (early access notifications). Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's privacy
PomodoroBar does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.
7. Changes to this policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If PomodoroBar ever introduces features that handle data differently, we will update this policy accordingly and notify existing users.
